movie fest

Since having my gallbladder removed, I have been on a movie watching frenzy. There is nothing better to do when you are healing from surgery than rent movies. I went to Blockbuster where the sales guy proceeded to con me into signing up for some reward program which I definitely don't need since the only time I rent movies is when I am recovering from some medical procedure. I rented 6 movies and so far I have watched 5 of them.

Valentine's Day was an epic fail.
New Moon was... well it is what I expected it to be and nothing more.
Up In the Air didn't keep my attention.
The Time Traveler's Wife was interesting. In fact I liked it, although sometimes I struggled to keep up with the story line as the characters bobbed from one time to another time. It was definitely a unique love story.
Julie and Julia was amazing. It is one of the best movies that I have seen in a long time. It definitely inspired me to get back into the kitchen and cook while I am home this summer. And it also inspired me to continue to blog. :) I loved how the two stories intertwined with one another in the movie. It was also interesting to learn more about Julia Childs and her life. Lastly, it brought some light to McCarthyism and what that time period was like. Overall, I loved it!

I have one more to watch and then I must return them tomorrow before I face late fees which I doubt my new reward membership will protect me from.
